How Business Plans are used

The importance of Business Plans cannot be stressed enough. It can open doors that will be beneficial for yourself in the future. Here are a couple of useful pointers of how Business Plans are used.
  • Venture Capital- Business Plan contests- Provides a way for venture capitals to find promising projects.
  • Public Offerings- In a public offering, potential investors can evaluate perspectives of issuing company.

  • For profit business plans typically focus on financial goals.


  • Non-profit and government agency business plans tend to focus on service goals. although non-profits may also focus on maximising profit.
